If you're a dirt bike enthusiast looking to work in the motorcycle industry, Ride Engineering has a position open for a part time sales associate. We have a flexible schedule and long hours are not required. Candidate must come in two to three days a week to maintain client relationships. A full time schedule is obtainable depending on Candidate’s sales aptitude and performance.
Based in Costa Mesa, California, Ride Engineering manufactures bolt-on accessory products that improve the handling and braking performance of off-road motorcycles and some cosmetic dress up parts for sport bikes, since 2002.
This inside sales position requires the following: basic computer skills like Microsoft Word and Excel, positive sales attitude and excellent verbal skills. This position will focus on soliciting and securing dealer sales within a given territory using proven selling techniques to meet and exceed sales targets by performing the following duties: Contact accounts on a daily basis to solicit orders based on a quota set by the President. Keep detailed notes in regards to customer contact and other pertinent information. Receive and process orders, provide information concerning pricing, changes in service, discontinuance, and shipping. Takes care of and settles dealer/customer complaints, special orders, or returns. Refers complaints to President for quality investigation. Ensures the dealer or retail customer has a good experience. Stays current on all product knowledge of merchandise sold. Ensures backorder reports are monitored and assists with payment collections as needed. He or she will be expected to periodically keep in contact with 200 to 300 established accounts while calling on new prospects to increase Ride Engineering's customer base. The focus of this position is heavily based on telephone use. Some previous experience working at a motorcycle dealership is not required but very helpful in understanding our customers. Some minor travel to dealerships within a 75 mile radius may also be required.
High school diploma required; some college coursework completed preferred; and two years sales experience.
Very strong selling aptitude; Self-starter and self-sufficient; Ability to meet goals and work under pressure; Must have strong organizational skills; A high attention to detail is required; Knowledge of Motocross industry required; Motocross riding experience is a huge plus to better understand the performance and function of our products.
